Khufu Statue Head This is a profile of the man behind the Great Pyramid. A mysterious Pharaoh, only in that we have almost no official record of his 23 year reign. Possibly the most mentioned, yet the least talked about Pharaoh.

This edition our Pharaoh in Focus is... Pharaoh Khufu.

ImageFrom the publisher: It was the magic and mystery of an empire long past that beautiful Erica Baron came toe explore. Innocently she cast her eyes in forbidden places and discovered the clue to a treasure beyond imagination. It was then that terror overtook her, as the most fearful curse of the ancient world and the most savage menace of the modern one threatened to detroy her. One dangerously attractive man offered Erica help...he offered her protection...he offered her love. And in this strange, exotic land of seductive evils, where no one could be trusted, desire became for Erica the deadliest snare of all...

I was walking through the bookstore when I saw the bold letters SPHINX jump out. At the time, we were producing Riddle of the Sphinx, so I naturally grabbed the book not knowing at the time who Robin Cook was or that this was outside of his genr?©. What a treasure this book turned out to be... this is one of those rare books that pulled me in and simply wouldn't let me go!

Nose Job Print E-mail

ImageThe question always comes up... Who is responsible for the Sphinx's missing nose? And without a beat, someone will usually say, "Napoleon's army shot the nose off in 1798... as target practice!" Using a cannon, no less.

Hey, it must be true, I found the same answer on the internet. When I replied to an email a while ago asking this same question, the recipient didn't like my answer and insisted I as wrong. Well, it's hard to break urban legends.

So what is the truth? Let's examine the facts.

Plus, an EAM Interactive Element allows you to put the nose back on the Sphinx!
